About Our Class
Our Year 5/6 class has three boys and five girls, some Deaf, some hearing and some hearing impaired. Our classroom has accoustic tiles on the walls and ceiling to make hearing easier and some students also use FM systems. All students participate in the Signing Choir and a special group performed at the Festival of Music in September.
On Friday, February 13th we voted to choose our SRC representative for this year, congratulations Jess on being elected class rep.
Student Power groups are involved in an activity to benefit the community, it can be the school community or the wider community. Students from our class are involved in a range of groups including Positive Hall Play, Plant Propogation, Interactive Whiteboard lessons, Sports Gear, SRC and Animal Welfare. Student Power groups began in Term 2, operated through Term 3 and finished in Term 4.
It is hard to believe another year is nearly over and for some students there will be big changes next year. They will be returning to mainstream classes and will need to readjust to being in a much larger class. Past experience has shown that students adjust quickly and demonstrate increased confidence which comes from added responsibilities in a small class. It is always satisfying to see past students standing in Assembly confidently addressing the whole school.

Thank you! The sand is coloured, beautiful colours. The Festival is on but Hercules isn’t part of that, the company is touring all the time, brings a different show each year. Next year it will be Aladdin.

I’m glad the photos turned out well, it’s so dark in the Hall I wasn’t sure that they would be OK. Next it will be Aladdin….. if they come back!

cool next year the play is Aladdin they have a princess called jasmine in it. this is a joke my dad said to me why is my pen called a boomarang pen?

Was Jasmine in the Disney version or in a book? I think maybe your dad’s pen is a boomerang one because all the others he’s had were a different type and they went off but never came back!

Jess, you need to check out your mail at school and click on the link in the email from Wikispace. I used your school email address to make you a member of the wiki because I don’t know your home email address. It’s great that you tried it!
